The United States lawn care industry saw approximately $77 billion of revenue throughout 2016. Knowing how to properly take care of your lawn, whether it's a commercial or residential property, takes a little more than just hopping on a mower and giving it a go. 

Far too many American property owners don't understand the importance of proper lawn care. Stop mowing your lawn like an armature and step up your outdoor landscaping skills. Here are some awesome tips for improving the way you mow your lawn. 

• Cut your grass weekly -- Especially during the spring and early summer, you're going to need to mow at least once a week. If you aren't mowing at least once a week, your grass will grow too tall after a few days and will start to look awful. Keep late spring in mind, though! Growth rates typically peak then, so it's recommended to mow as often as two times each week.
 
• Use high-quality lawn mowers -- Don't just use an old lawn mower that you got from a garage sale a few years ago. If you are serious about improving the look and feel of your lawn, you'll need Swisher lawn mowers or another quality brand.
